General

1. These terms and conditions of delivery apply to the conclusion, content and fulfillment of all agreements concluded between the client and Sip Society Amsterdam.

2. When placing the order, the customer agrees to the terms and conditions.

3. Sip Society Amsterdam reserves the right to amend the general terms and conditions at any time. 

4. No rights can be derived from the product photos. Because we deal with handmade products, it is possible that a product may differ minimally from product photos in things like color, size or shape. 

 

Price

1. All prices quoted include sales tax (VAT) and other government imposed levies.

2. All prices quoted do not include shipping costs. 

3. The price quoted by Sip Society Amsterdam for the performance to be performed by it applies exclusively to the performance in accordance with the agreed specifications.

4. Offers are valid while supplies last and/or during the promotional period.

5. Sip Society Amsterdam is not liable for typographical errors in its website. No rights can be derived from unlawful price information.

 

Price Changes

1. Sip Society Amsterdam shall be entitled to increase the agreed price if one or more of the following circumstances occurs after the conclusion of the agreement: increase in the cost of materials, semi-finished products or services required for the execution of the agreement, increase in shipping costs, in wages, in employers' social security charges, in the costs associated with other terms and conditions of employment, introduction of new and increase in existing government levies on raw materials, energy or residues, a significant change in currency relations or, in general, circumstances similar to the above.

2. Extra workable text, unclear copy, unclear sketches, drawings or models, faulty information carriers, faulty computer software or data files, faulty method of delivery of the materials or products to be supplied by the client and all similar deliveries by the client forcing Silke-Amsterdam to do more work or incur more costs than it could reasonably have expected at the time the agreement was entered into, are grounds for increasing the agreed price. Extraordinary or reasonably unforeseeable processing difficulties arising from the nature of the materials and products to be processed are also grounds for increasing the agreed price.

3. Sip Society Amsterdam is entitled to increase or decrease the agreed price if the client makes changes to the originally agreed specifications, including author's corrections or modified instructions after receipt of working drawings, models and typesetting, printing and other proofs. Sip Society Amsterdam will cooperate with these changes within reasonable limits, if the content of the performance to be delivered by it does not deviate substantially from the originally agreed performance.

 

Cancellation

1. The principal shall be entitled to cancel a contract before the supplier has started to execute the contract provided that he compensates the supplier for the damage caused by this. Such losses shall include the losses and loss of profit suffered by the supplier and in any case the costs already incurred by the supplier for preparation, including those of reserved production capacity, purchased materials, services called in and storage.

2. It is possible to cancel an order, if done within 24 hours after the order has been placed and provided the order has not yet been shipped. You can only communicate this cancellation by mail.

 

Payment

1. Payment is made through the payment methods offered on the website. 

 

Shipping costs

1. For orders with an order value lower than €100,= including VAT, the shipping costs shall be borne by the customer. 

2. In case of exchange/return, the shipping costs of returning these items are at the customer's own expense.

In case of an exchange, Sip Society Amsterdam will charge shipping costs of € 6.10 for domestic incuslief VAT of the item to be resent. 

 

Delivery

1. Sip Society Amsterdam outsources the home delivery of orders to PostNL. Orders will be shipped via PostNL.

2. Sip Society Amsterdam aims to ship orders 4 working days after receipt of payment. Exceptions are force majeure, vacations and products out of stock. In case Sip Society Amsterdam is closed due to vacations, this will be clearly indicated on the Sip Society Amsterdam website.

3. Sip Society Amsterdam will make every effort to deliver accepted orders as soon as possible. If delivery is delayed -either due to temporary out of stock or for other reasons- or if an order cannot or can only be partially carried out, the customer will be notified. In that case, the customer has the right to cancel the remaining order in writing.

4. Sip Society Amsterdam is not liable for any damage you may suffer because the order was delivered to an address provided by the customer in error.

 

Exchanges and returns

1. If an item does not meet your expectations then there is the option to exchange or return the item.

2. The postage costs as well as the shipping risk for return shipments are at the customer's own expense.

3. Returns and/or exchanges are subject to the following conditions:

a) After delivery of your order, you have 14 days to exchange or return the items. After this period has expired, the purchase cannot be rescinded and is final.

b) The goods must be in original condition, i.e. returned in their original packaging.

c) With your return, you should include a letter with your details and order number.

d) Insufficient or unstamped returns will not be accepted by us, regardless of the reason for the return.

f) When exchanging an item, the shipping cost of the item to be reshipped must be paid by yourself.

g) Upon return (dissolution of sale of 1 or more items), the amount to be returned (excluding shipping costs and minus the administrative costs) will be transferred to you within 30 days or as much earlier as possible.

 

Stock

1. All candles are available from stock. However, it may happen that an item is temporarily out of stock or sold out due to a larger than normal number of orders. You will be informed of this by us as soon as possible. In this case, the customer has the right to cancel the order without charge. Sip Society Amsterdam will provide a refund in this case.

 

Warranty and Liability

Sip Society Amsterdam guarantees that the goods to be delivered meet the usual requirements and standards that can be set for them and are free of any defects whatsoever.

2. As proof regarding the warranty, you will receive from Sip Society Amsterdam a digital packing slip as proof of purchase.

3. The guarantee referred to here does not apply when the defect is the result of injudicious or improper use or when, without written permission from Sip Society Amsterdam, you or third parties have made changes or tried to make changes to the item or have used it for purposes for which the item is not intended.

4. If the item delivered does not conform to what was agreed and this non-conformity is a defect within the meaning of the product liability regulation, Sip Society Amsterdam shall not be liable for any resulting consequential damage.

5. The provisions of these general terms and conditions regarding warranty do not affect your warranty claims under the law, all subject to the provisions of these general terms and conditions and the agreement, including the nature and quality of what has been sold and delivered to you.

 

Privacy

1. Your personal data will be included in the customer database of Sip Society Amsterdam. We use your personal data for the execution of the agreement, responsible customer management, risk management and for marketing purposes. We do not provide data to third parties that affect your privacy. If you no longer wish to receive commercial offers from us, you can confirm this to us by e-mail.

 

Copyright image and text material

1. It is not permitted, without written permission, to copy, store, publish, reproduce or otherwise use text and/or image material. Violation will result in legal action.

 

Applicable law
1. The agreement between Sip Society Amsterdam and the client is governed by Dutch law.
